School Halloween Party Ideas

Dress-up for school Halloween parties is always a must and always entertaining. Candy can be expensive, so it might help to have parents involved in the purchase so that the teacher can pass out candy to the kids, or the kids can have a candy exchange.

Chocolate cupcakes with orange frosting and pumpkin cookies are also a great idea when it comes to serving treats at school .The school classroom or the Gymnasium, depending on the size of the party (whether it involves the school or just a classroom) can be decorated by the kids.

Older kids can decorate tables with black and orange cloths and decorations can consist of pumpkins, apples, and scary spiders, black cats and ghosts. Don't forget fall foliage and dried corn and grain to add to the look.

For older kids, this can be a perfect way to decorate for a dance after school. There are also DVDs that tell scary stories with all the sound affects, and younger children might enjoy sitting in a circle while the teacher reads a Halloween story. Whatever you do, it is important that everyone has fun and is able to take part without feeling left out.

Great decorations include skeleton heads and tombstones to create a spooky cemetery effect.

A neat product is a swirled streamer with a Halloween themed item attached, like black cats or jack-o-lanterns. Hang witches with broomsticks throughout the room, as well as glow-in-the dark skeletons.

You can create your own school Halloween party crafts by tracing and decorating Halloween themes such as black cats, jack-o-lanterns, skeletons, spiders, tombstones, or witches.
