Halloween Party Ideas For Small Children

Halloween is a fun time for people of all ages. Unfortunately, we have to worry about keeping our kids safe. Some people live in a large neighborhood and let their children trick or treat, but some people do not feel comfortable letting their children get candy from strangers.

If you are one of these people consider having a Halloween Party for your child. Be sure to have all supplies before the party. Make a list so you do not forget anything. Children love prizes, so have plenty on hand.

A few game ideas:


Pass the Pumpkin- While playing scary Halloween music, the children will sit in a circle passing a small pumpkin around the circle. When the music stops the child holding the pumpkin is out of the game. You keep playing until only one child is left.

Pin the tail on the Witch - This is played the same as Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Instead of a donkey have a picture of a witch and let the children pin a tail on her nose. This can also be played with a pumpkin, black cat or vampire.

Pumpkin Toss Game - Have a carved out pumpkin. Have the children line up and toss 3 pieces of candy corn (one at the time) in the pumpkin. Have small prizes to give the children when they hit the pumpkin all 3 times.
