School Party Ideas For Fun Classroom Celebrations

School party ideas for kids are plentiful and easy to come up with. First of all, you have the usual parties that follow the themes of the year such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New years, Spring break and Easter. Parties can also be designed with the idea of children's after school dances or lunchtime dances. What you need is the time for the activity and plan activites like penny arcades, carnival day, winter sports day and summer track and field day.

School parties of this type don't need to have much in the way of food, but light snacks like yogurt and vegetables and little bags of chips with pop or juice can go a long way in making the event successful. If it is a lunchtime party, then rather than bringing a lunch, the kids can have a pizza party or a hamburger party. Once a month it is always fun to have a movie day. The movies can be fun movies or revolve around history or something educational. The lunch hour is extended in order to incorporate the movie.

After school teas can be beneficial for raising money for school trips or extra school supplies. The parents of each child can supply a pie, usually a variety of common ones such as cherry, pumpkin, apple and lemon meringue. A place like the gymnasium is decorated and set up for the tea. Parents and neighbors are invited to partake. Some of the children from the older grades are chosen to serve and clean up.

The principle and one or two other teachers can pour the tea and coffee. Decorations and tickets are made by the younger grades and the tickets are sold ahead of time. It is easy to do and it involves the participation of everyone. After school dances are like the old fashion sock hop or jellybean dances. There usually isn't a lot of dancing and the music isn't live, but the time spent with friends is always appreciated and it helps the kids learn how to socialize.

Have a Great Halloween - Superb Party Ideas!

Halloween is a holiday every child looks forwards to. It's a time for spooky dresses, witches, pumpkin heads and not to mention, cookies and candies! With every passing Halloween, the ideas for Halloween decoration, costumes, the games or the party become more and more stale. Here are a few good ideas to help you make this Halloween a lot more fun, laughter and spookiness.

Ideas for Decorating Your Home

Here are a few:

Spider Webs

Try adding a spider web (which will be easily available at stores selling Halloween products) to your Halloween decorations. There is another option. "Canned Cob Webs" are available in the market these days which will easily let you add layers of cobwebs to all your Halloween decorations.

Just like a Christmas tree, its time you put up a leafless creepy tree in your home, that will not only look beautiful buy also add to the "spook" factor.

Halloween Cloth

You can get hold of this at any shop selling Halloween products. These cloths are mostly used in theme parks with haunted attractions and are sure to give your home or room a scary deserted look.

Halloween Costumes

These will be available all over the market, a few days before Halloween. If you do not want to go for the conventional then try our Ideas.

The Nun and the Priest

Tired of dressing up like a devil!? Try dressing up like a priest or a nun, the ones who are just coming back from performing an exorcism.

The Zombie

If you are going to a Halloween party solo then you should consider getting yourself a creepy zombie dress. You can get hold of these dresses at any common Halloween shop, or better yet, make one for yourself.

The Witch and the Hag

These concepts have become old but are still very much interesting. We recommend that you create a dress for yourself. If you think you aren't that creative, then go ahead and take help from a friend. The ones available in the market are good but are pretty ordinary looking. They look funnier than spooky!

Halloween Games

Here are some great ideas for Halloween games to make sure that the party goes on until the break of light.

Ghost Stories

This is the oldest and the most popular ideas! After dinner and drinks, get your friends and family to sit around in a circle and start a round of ghost stories.

Hide the Pumpkin

This one is for the kids! Just pick up a number of pumpkins from the market, carve out a spooky head on each of them and hide them all around the house. Then ask the kids to go about finding each one of them. Keep a surprise reward for the kid who finds the most pumpkin heads.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween Party Ideas and Celebrations

Halloween Party Ideas What's a Halloween party without some freaky ideas to scare your guests frozen or give them the goose bumps ? Don't you think the Halloween fun will fizzle out if it's a run-of-the-mill party décor and party planning with the regular party stuffs used ? Of course yes. When the festival is as big and fun as Halloween, the party sure got to be jam-packed with all that's macabre, mysterious and mind-boggling. From hanging bats to grinning Jack O' Lanterns welcoming your guests, from a table laid out with to outlandish invitations for the party, a Halloween party should be meticulously designed and well thought-out to give you and your guests a frightfully good time ! Now here are some Halloween party ideas to help you get started with your spooky party this Halloween:

Halloween Party Invitations The first step of all party planning begins with the right invitations. Creative and apt invitation cards will help set the right mood for your Halloween party. A bat-shaped invitation, a bare-jawed wolf, a haunted house or may be some cute Jack O' Lanterns glowing in the warmth of your cordiality will tune your folks into the Halloween fever. Alternatively you can send hand-made invitation cards with personalized freaky messages. Design the party invitations totally on your own in any Halloween shape possible keeping in mind the theme for your Halloween party.

Halloween Costume Party A very common but greatly loved Halloween party kind is the Halloween costume party where everyone comes dropping in in spectral masks and spectacular Halloween costumes to keep all the rest guessing who's who ! Halloween costume parties are always a visual delight with creatively outstanding costumes all around. Some will don the demon, some the canny wolf, some the plump pumpkins, some the Frankenstein, while some others will spruce up in the guise of their favorite celebrities or comic characters in the Halloween party night.

If it's a kids' Halloween costume party, you're sure to spot a chic range of Harry Potters of various sizes or Spider-men crawling all over or even the Flintstones having a gala time at the Halloween bash. If it's an adults' Halloween party, the element of scare can be threaded in to the Halloween party planning. There you can have horrific monstrous faces and Dracula and ghouls doing the rounds in the party area. Ideas are galore for Halloween costume parties. So you can prescribe a theme for your Halloween party too. If it's a horror-themed Halloween party, the costume ideas will fringe the scary aspects of thrill and terror. But if the ruling theme for your Halloween party is fun freak, it's better to cut down on the fright bit and invest more on costumes that will amuse your

Another very important aspect of your Halloween decorations--make sure the Halloween party room is dimly lit. That adds up to the mystery and eeriness of Halloween decorations. And you can put fine threads across the party room haphazardly so that your guests are left wondering as to how they suddenly got 'possessed' ! And with spooky numbers playing in the background, your Halloween party will surely live up to the screaming expectations of your guests. You can let helium-filled balloons with spooky faces drawn on them float all around the Halloween party area or you can cover them with fluorescent papers and stick them on the floor of your Halloween party room with long strings to create the effect of ghosts and monsters all lurking about the party people in a festal perkiness. Another winning idea for a Halloween decoration is to create a haunted Halloween party décor by strewing dry Autumn leaves all around the party room. This serves another purpose as well--these crispy leaves will make crunchy noises and raise the Halloween fun for your guests all the more !
